    Categories under NS PNP

    The NS PNP offers various categories to cater to different immigration pathways:

    Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry

    This category is for skilled workers with experience in occupations that are in demand in Nova Scotia. Candidates must have an active Express Entry profile to be eligible for this stream

    Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry

    This category is for skilled workers who have already worked in Nova Scotia for at least one year with a valid work permit and are interested in obtaining permanent residency.

    Skilled Worker Stream

    The Skilled Worker Stream is for individuals with a job offer from a Nova Scotia employer in an occupation classified as Skill Type 0 (managerial), Skill Level A (professional), or Skill Level B (technical)

    Entrepreneur Stream

    The Entrepreneur Stream is designed for experienced business owners or senior business managers who want to establish or acquire a business in Nova Scotia.

    International Graduate Entrepreneur Stream

    This stream targets international graduates from eligible Nova Scotia universities or colleges who have started or acquired a business in the province.

    Eligibility criteria for the NSNP Program

    • Must have express Entry Profile

    • A score of at least 67 points out of 100 on the NSNP points assessment grid

    • Can apply with IELTS 6 bands in each.

    • Minimum Qualification needed is Post-secondary diploma in a specific trade that required at least 2 years of full-time study after secondary school.

    • Degrees and diplomas obtained outside Canada must be accompanied by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a designated organization.

    • Minimum 1 year work experience in the last 10 years in National Occupation Classification (NOC) skill level 0, A, or B.

    • Have proof of Settlement funds and settlement plan.
