Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is an immigration program operated by the province of Saskatchewan in partnership with the federal government of Canada. The program allows Saskatchewan to nominate individuals who have the skills, work experience, and qualifications to fill labor market needs and contribute to the province’s economic growth.

    Categories under SINP

    SINP offers several categories to cater to different immigration pathways

    International Skilled Worker: Express Entry

    This category is aligned with the federal Express Entry system and allows Saskatchewan to nominate candidates from the Express Entry pool who meet the eligibility criteria.

    International Skilled Worker: Occupations In-Demand

    The Occupations In-Demand category is for skilled workers with work experience in occupations that are in demand in Saskatchewan and who do not have an Express Entry profile.

    Saskatchewan Experience: Express Entry

    This category is for individuals who have at least one year of work experience in Saskatchewan in a skilled occupation and have an active Express Entry profile.

    Saskatchewan Experience: Occupations In-Demand

    The Occupations In-Demand category targets individuals who have at least one year of work experience in an occupation that is in demand in Saskatchewan but do not have an Express Entry profile.

    Entrepreneur Category

    The Entrepreneur Category is for individuals who wish to establish, acquire, or partner in a business in Saskatchewan.

    Farm Owners and Operators Category

    The Farm Owners and Operators Category is designed for experienced farmers who wish to establish a farming operation in Saskatchewan.

    Ontario Express Entry

    Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream: Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream is designed for skilled workers who want to live and work permanently in Ontario.

    Eligibility criteria for the SINP’s Occupation- in- demand Category

    • Minimum 60 points out of 100 on the SINP’s points assessment grid

    • Have a language score of at least IELTS 5 bands

    • Post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship of at least one year in length that resulted in a diploma, certificate or degree.

    • Must have Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report who studied outside of Canada

    • Have at least 1 year work experience in the last 10 years in NOC Skill Type O, A or B and is found on Saskatchewan’s In-Demand Occupations List.

    • Candidates must show proof of professional status or licensure for regulated occupations or those with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan if required by their occupation.

    • Have proof of Settlement funds and settlement plan

    • You must pay a non-refundable $350 application fee online. It is the last step required in order to submit your application
