While there is always a dilemma of choosing an appropriate country to immigrate to, it is fun to collaborate with the shivery cold winters, the maple syrup, and hockey. Canada is the home town to the Niagara Falls, the Old Montreal, the Rocky Mountains and many more. Amidst the perfect amalgamation of Technology and Nature, new ideas are born and the business culture is developed.
There are endless countries with different immigration programs, educational facilities, and technological advancements and yet, there are various reasons as of why Canada can be, or rather should be at the top of your priority list. Along with all the beauty, brain, and the facilities, one prominent aspect that exists here is the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP).
(1) What is the PNP?
The Provincial Nominee Program is one of the most promising and encouraging immigration programs prevalent in Canada. Here, various provinces of Canada select the immigrants according to the needs, various parameters, requirements, and aspirations of the specific province. These Provinces have a contract with the Immigration Citizenship Refugee Canada (IRCC) that permits the provinces to provide Permanent Residence to the immigrants.
(2) What are the Categories in the PNP?
With every different person, the need to immigrate changes, and so does the category. Though, they can be generalized in four major categories:
• General category,
• International Student Category,
• Business Category,
• Express entry
(3) What are the Exceptions to the PNP?
The Canadian territory comprises of 10 Provinces and 3 territories to immigrate to. The Quebec Province is the only one Province that isn\’t the part of this program.
(4) How to apply for the PNP?
PNP is a territory specific agenda rather than being a generalized set of rules like the Express Entry System. Every Province has their different geographical conditions, different ethnicity, a different set of values, different technologies and thus, a different set of skills required by the manpower that is to be recruited. Thus, the rules and requirements of each and every Province are different and specified by the Province in the immigration program. Here, the immigrant can select the Province according to their skills, their experience, keeping in mind the Province\’s requirements and thus setting up the compatibilities. The immigrant has to apply to the PNP of the Province he aims to go to, with each Province having different PNP portals.
(5) What are the benefits of PNP over the Express entry System?
Canada houses over more than 80 different immigration programs. The Express Entry System is the most widely used amongst all of them. The problem with this program is that if you have a low Comprehensive Ranking system (CRS) score, the chances to be on the selection list become skeptical. The Express Entry is a rigorous and intensively selective process, where different criteria of age, language skills, job skills, work experience, and the CRS are considered strictly. There is a pool process where the immigrants are directly selected and invited for the PR.
The advantage of the PNP over this is that sole requirements of the Province are taken into the account. Low CRS scores are also acceptable.
For example : the Ontario Immigrant Nominee program, Nova Scotia Nominee Program, etc invites applicants with less CRS scores. There is a liberal approach towards the language skills, and even without the job experience or offer letter, an immigrant can make it to the PR of that Province.
(6) Why should a PNP program be considered as one of the most immigrant-friendly programs across the World?
The most important aspect included in Canadian immigration is the interest of the Government in this sector. The Government makes constant efforts to give a strong platform to all the kinds of human resources possessing various skills. It is making constant efforts to make the Tech industry better for the people. The Government of Canada ensures all immigrants that it believes in the Global development and thus ensures that every human resource is a qualitative entity to the nation and that each resource will get equal attention and benefits from the Government irrespective of their roots or origin.
For instance, The Maritime Provinces: Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick always accept skilled labour and has seen tremendous growth in manpower since the advent of the PNPs.
There are certain aspects in which some people flaunt while some remain weak. The PNP gives equal opportunity to everyone, making it easier for the people to achieve their dreams and do something big, in the area of their choice. And thus, it becomes the perfect choice for the dreamers, entrepreneurs and the achievers.
